Der Code of Conduct der Fakultät

A respectful, appreciative and non-discriminatory approach is a fundamental prerequisite for successful study, research and work. With this Code of Conduct, the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics has set out common guidelines for collaboration and communication.

The Code of Conduct sets out key regulations in concrete terms, such as the German Research Foundation’s (DFG) guidelines on ensuring good scientific practice and the University of Duisburg-Essen’s anti-discrimination policy. It serves as a guide for all members of the Faculty and describes the principles that should shape our interactions.

The Code of Conduct was adopted by the Faculty Council on 14th April 2026 and is intended as a voluntary commitment. It is designed to help foster a working and study environment characterised by openness, fairness, mutual respect and responsibility.

The Code of Conduct is a living document that can evolve in collaboration in the faculty. Comments and suggestions for its further development may be addressed to the Dean’s Office at any time.
